Daily Dose

He had always hated those masala newspapers. All they did was contort news to shapes and sizes they deemed fit. He had wanted to pick fights with them - rows for their columns. A table match even. But that was too much physical effort. He was just a blogger. He perused papers just because he wanted something to blog about. And they always gave him enough material.

The paper had not landed on his doorstep yet. But he was already on the internet reading their website. His eyes lit up as he saw it. They claimed Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan had a bar-room brawl the night before. They even had a picture of Jackie strangling Bruce on the floor. In vivid detail they had described the fight as well. This was seriously too much. Everyone knew Bruce Lee was long gone.

He wrote up a piece for his blog. But he waited for the newspaper in print to arrive. Impatiently. Finally he heard the cycle bell ring. As the newspaper was hurled into his compound by the paper-boy, he ran out to pick it. It was there. In print. He got back to his computer with a contended smile. He was going to rip them apart. Bruce and Jackie fighting it seems. They were not fooling anybody with this lame fraud of a piece. He wrote the piece and then went to the title box and wrote..

“A Chan is on Lee? As thrown gazettes’ weak hustling”
